How to: Add an appointment.
Solution:
Select the 'Insert' menu and select 'Appointment...'. Type the appointment information and choose 'OK'.
1) Select the 'Insert' menu and select 'Appointment...'. (The Appointment dialog box appears.)

2) Select the 'General' tab.
a) Select the 'All day' check box or type the 'Start' and 'End' times (or click on the down arrows to select a date from a calendar).
b) Type an appointment description in the 'Description' box.
EXAMPLE: Review with the manager
c) Type the place for the appointment in the 'Where' box.
EXAMPLE: The 3rd floor conference room
d) (Optional) Select the 'Set Reminder for' check box to set a reminder.
NOTE: A bell icon appears next to the appointment in the schedule.
e) (Optional) Select the 'Private' check box to make the appointment information Private.
NOTE: A key icon appears next to the appointment in the schedule.
f) (Optional) Select the 'Tentative' check box to make the appointment tentative.
NOTE: The appointment will appear gray and have a check mark with a question mark icon next to it.
3) Click the 'Attendees' tab to invite attendees and resources to the appointment.
NOTE: This step requires a system connected to a network.
EXAMPLE: Invite team members and request an overhead projector.
4) Click the 'Notes' tab to add notes to the appointment.
EXAMPLE: The meeting will run approximately three hours.
5) (Optional) Click the 'Planner' tab to see the appointment and resources in Planner View.
6) Click 'OK'.
